This comprehensive elopement guide illustrates how eloping has nothing to do with sacrifice. It's for free-spirited, unconventional, and adventurous couples who want to buck traditional wedding ideas, enjoy taking risks and trying new things, and combine their love of travel and exploration with their wedding day.

Written as an inspirational planner and guide, it prioritizes planning a full day of unforgettable experiences and is for the brides unafraid of getting their wedding dress dirty. It's for the couple who dreams of dumping a traditional venue for an epic beach, mountain, waterfall, or glacier setting. It's for those who hear "adventure elopement" and their hearts skip a beat. Is that you?

From the enchanting Faroe Islands to the sun-drenched shores of Costa Rica, this complete adventure elopement guide is brimming with modern elopement insights, practical planning advice, and inspirational travel ideas. Featuring breathtaking imagery and planning details from jet-setting flight attendants who have eloped, it weaves together a tapestry of adventure elopements that have taken place all over the world.

Sherry's extraordinary journey began in Bolivia, where she grew up as a missionary kid, fostering independence and a passion for global exploration. Her adventurous childhood included frolicking in riverbanks, learning Spanish, and flying in Cessnas to visit her parents in the jungle. This unique upbringing led to a career as an international flight attendant, traveling to over 60 countries. In 2001, after 9/11, Sherry moved to Italy to study Italian, later attending the Brooks Institute of Photography in California. She photographed events like the iconic Primal Quest Adventure Race and attended a travel writing workshop with Don George. Her own 2013 beach elopement in St. Croix inspired her to capture couples' love stories in breathtaking destinations like Glacier National Park and Assateague Island, pioneering adventure elopements before they became a trend. A participant in the transformative Dirty Boots and Messy Hair workshop in 2019, Sherry combined her travel, photography, and storytelling expertise to champion full-day adventure elopements. She also supports Diakonos International Inc., an orphanage in Haiti. Sherry lives near Boston with her husband, Chris, and their two cats.
