Dot, Stripe, Squiggle

By Sarah Grace Tuttle, illustrated by Miriam Nerlove

Released August 21, 2018

Some creatures have dots. Some have stripes. Some have squiggles. Some creatures have dots and stripes. Some have dots and squiggles. And some have all three—dots, stripes, and squiggles! A simple and striking board book, this innovative introduction to patterns and shapes features nine extraordinary sea creatures (which are identified at the end), bringing the marine world to life.

Sarah Grace Tuttle first fell in love with the ocean on trips to the beach as a child. With a degree in environmental studies and an MFA in writing for children, she is still enthralled by the beauty of the marine world. She lives in Massachusetts. Miriam Nerlove has spent years painting different animals. She lives with her family outside Chicago. Visits to the Shedd Aquarium helped her study marine animals and their environs. This is her first book for Creative Editions.
