The National Writers Union – Boston Chapter


The National Writers Union is an organization of novelists, journalists, nonfiction book authors, scriptwriters, website writer/creators, public relations specialists, poets, short story writers, Internet and multimedia content providers, cartoonists, and technical, business and instructional writers. The Boston Chapter – Chapter 4 – was established in 1983, and it represents freelance writers in Central and Eastern Massachusetts and the Islands, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine.

On Monday, July 18, 2011, The National Writers Union will host Writers’ Night Out, a real social networking event where writers and readers can meet and greet NWU members, relax, eat, and have fun. Writers Night Out will take place at the Tavern in the Square in Central Square, Cambridge, from 6 and 8 p.m.
